A Reflection of Thought

Will you be, Just A Thought?

Life is serious business, not something taken lightly; not even for a moment!

A breath is given and a final breath is taken one last time; then you are no more.

Yes, you will be missed and some will mourn for you, but unless certain memories arise about you, a choke followed by a tear or two, then you become like a passing breeze. A feather in the wind; a twig brushing pass in a river.
Just a thought.

What kind of mark will you leave engraved on the hearts of those you have encountered. Would it be family only, or the mass of people you have passed on the street.

Did you smile first, causing the mountain of anger in ones heart to melt like wax?

How about the woman’s hand you comforted as she mourned; and you said not a word but spoke volumes into her life.

How about that child you took the time to read to; or the grown man you taught how to read.

The dog who followed you home and you gave him a home instead of sending him to the pound.

Did you engrave in the heart love, or did you engrain seed of hatred, will be remembered as a restorer, or a destroyer?

Did you engrave mercy, or did engrain the seed of selfishness, will they remember running to you, or from you?

Did you engrave compassion, or engrain the seed of hostility. People will forget almost everything you have done for them, but they will never forget how you made them feel.

If you picture your life as a barn of seeds,  what kind of grain will be produced through you. Did you produce the seed of gossip,  which leads to the destruction of relationships, family, friendships, or seeds of hope, love, respect, gentleness, and kindness.

If you were a river bed, what kind of water will flow through you. If you were a cup, what kind of water will others drink from you; will you leave a bitter taste behind, or be like a refreshing spring?

These are just a few things I work on, although I know there is much more. But, One Day at a time.cropped-dscf1634.jpg

Just a thought, I jotted down.
