http://bible.com/111/1pe.2.24.niv “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
20Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me (Revelation 3:20).
We have been clothed in righteousness, though not by our own good deeds, or sacrifices. We have been made the Righteousness of God by Your Son, who bore our sins in His Body on the cross. May we no longer invite sin back in, but instead, open the door to our hearts and expose it by confession and repentance in the Light of Your Presence. Thank You Jesus, amen
