Follow the Leader

Follow the Leader

Are you a follower and are you a leader?

If you are a leader; you have no idea how you influence the lives of your followers; or if you are a follower; whom are you following?

The choices we make in helping younger women build their families in truth and godliness will influence other’s as we older women follow Jesus’ instruction.

Ex. 16:4,

There are times when Jesus will put the servants apron on you and expect you to follow through, even when you feel you earned the right to give your opinion because you know better.

In other words: “Been there, done that” does not go well. Live it, show it, breath it and when God is ready to let you explain it, He will do it through you. You are expected to do what is right, even if you have to become a servant to the younger in order to teach them. Authority does not give us the right to control others by our opinions; but somewhat a tool to teach the younger not only with the word of God; but also by our actions; action speak louder than words.

Titus 1:7 Since an overseer is entrusted with God’s work, he must be blameless – not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursing dishonest gain. 8Rather he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. 9He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.

10For there are many rebellious people, mere talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision group. 11They must be silenced, because they are ruining whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach and that for the sake of dishonest gain.

1Peter5:2 Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers-not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.

Ex. 18:19; Listen now to me and I will give you some advise, and may God be with you. You must be the peoples representative before God and bring their disputes to Him. 20Teach them the decrees and laws, and show them the way to live and the duties they are to perform.

I have seen the ugliness of gossip and how it can influence those who hear. If your child is a gossip, then most likely she learned it by hearing it from you; so therefore not only are you leading your own child down the path of destruction, you have also influenced your own child how to lead others down the path of destruction. 1Tim.24 the sins of men are obvious, reaching the place of judgment ahead of them, the sins of others trial behind them.

If your daughter is kind, gentle and caring about others more than herself, then she is definitely a follower of you because you are a follower of Christ and He will carry you on eagles’ wings, bringing you and your followers to Himself. 1Peter 3, Ex. 19:3-6

Not to worry, we are all imperfect and that is a good thing, because we need Jesus! Tough job, but if we want to raise Heavenly Jewels then we need to be taught in the ways of the Lord first, then they will trial behind us bringing glory to the Name of the Lord.
