Walking with Jesus, One

step at a time in the Day’s Journey

“You search the Scriptures because you believe they give eternal life. But the Scriptures point to Me!

John 5:39

To those who listen to My Teaching, more understanding

You will be given-and you will

Receive even more. Mark 4:25

Show me what it means to have a listening ear to your teaching and be receptive to your instruction.

What it is my part Lord?

“Ties that are strong in your heart are reminders that I the Lord am the creator of all things. Therefore, by acknowledging that I created each day for my purpose. And I am the one working in you the fulfillment of today’s purpose.

I am in control, and I am present with you whether you sense My Presence or not. Talk with me about whatever in on your mind. I care enough to listen. You bless me by trusting that I am near always and I am keeping a watchful eye on you.”

Ties to remember:

1. I have been called by God into a glorious relationship with Jesus

2. The Lord helps me with His strong arm and the blinding light of His face gives me victory.

3. God loves me because I trust in His Son Jesus Christ

Proverbs 8:9 My words are plain to anyone with understanding, clear to those who want to learn. 10 Choose my instruction rather that silver, knowledge over pure gold.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—-

Do not fill your thoughts with failure, then you are only worshiping yourself

Look at each day as a victorious day in Christ. He is the one whom brought victory through the atonement of the cross. Know that this is a discipline and begin learning to focus more and more on the King and the Lord of all creation. Give Him thanks!

My thanks for this day:

Father, Creator of all things, power O’Lord is yours alone, and I thank you for in Christ Jesus I have been saved. Thank you Lord for choosing me to come into a personal relationship with Your Son, and granting me the spirit of grace and gratitude no matter what my circumstances may be.

Thank you Lord, for in you there is no quilt and condemnation for those who love you. May my love for you Lord grow deeper in Christ till it spills over.

In Christ amen

Zech 12Promise of God, “I will keep a watchful eye over you, as you trust in Me, and thank Me. You are strong in your weakness. I am your shield. Ask Me and I will pour out a spirit of grace upon you. Grade your days with (F) Forgiveness!

Don’t lose sight of my words; let them penetrate deep within your heart, for they bring life and radiant health to anyone who discovers their meaning. Proverbs 4:21

Father, thank you for this glorious day. Praise the Lord, O my soul.

Lord, give us the strength of your unfailing love and the humility to sit and wait on you. I know that when I place trust in my own strength, I become drained at the first whim of the day. That only brings distress and oppression and all my plans come to nothing.

Blessed are those who put their trust in you and whose hope is in you Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them.

Lord you remain faithful forever. Lord, may we hunger for the Bread of Life, and may we thirst for the righteousness that comes from Christ alone.

Give me victory in the kitchen while I wash dishes, cook, and even on the dinner table with my family. Fill our bowls until they overflow with love.

Take away the drudgery of dishwashing and serving. Give me the gift of grace and laughter in my kitchen. As we sit on the dinner table, may the conversation of the Pharisee not rise as yeast, instead touch our lips grace and give us your words that build, encourage, love and edify. Give us laughter at the dinner table.

“ You alone are God”

In Jesus Name, amen

Prayer for preparation of your heart and humbling yourself before the Lord:

I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed: “O Lord, you are a great and awesome God! You always fulfill your promises of unfailing love to those who love you and keep your commands. I have sinned and done wrong. I have rebelled against You and scorned your commands and regulations. I have refused to listen to your servants and all authority that You have placed over me. I refused to be taught by those you appointed above me, because I was prideful and arrogant. I thought I knew it all! But You showed me that I didn’t know anything at all. How foolish I have been. I was only fooling myself. And I am ashamed for my actions, accusations, self-righteous attitude, and self-justification. Thank you Lord for instructing me in this discipline, and the victory given through Christ Jesus. Amen.

I admit, the sins I committed against you by refusing to be taught in your instruction. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

James 2:21 Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the alter? 22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend. 24You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. Trusting and submitting to Christ Psalm 2.
