One day the Lord spoke this to my heart, "Let the Seed Germinate in you and it will produce what I have intended."
I have learned this far in my journey that when God speaks a word to me, it is spoken not in the past tense nor is it spoken to my own understanding; because the Lord clearly says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6).
So as I began thinking on His Word, He revealed to me of the man who gorges himself on meat; never chewing it slow enough to enjoy all the good spices added to it. He sets his table with all the good side dishes and devours it all; never does he enjoy the sweet fellowship with the one who has prepared it; and so at the end of his meal, he either vomits it all up, or he is so full he is unable to move. He just folds his hands and falls asleep. (Proverbs 23:19).
And so it is with the Word of God. As we read daily the Word which is Alive and Active and Productive, God will give you understanding as you walk in trust steps with His Son. I used to call every godly person i knew to ask them what the Bible meant in a verse and found many different opinions on the meaning; which by the end of the day i would be so over fed, i actually felt nausiated. Now, I am not saying that everyone is wrong and i am right because at times that i myself has had a bitter heart and someone would ask me; i would give either an arrogant self righteous answer, or a prideful reproof and that my friend is dangerous!
Jesus says in John 6:44 "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day. 45It is written in the Prophets: "They will all be taught by God. Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from Him comes to Me. John 6:65 He went on to say, "This is why I told you that no one can come to Me unless the Father has enabled him."
When you read your Bible, knowing that Jesus is the One who set the table for you. He and His Father has prepared your meal for the day (His Word). Chew slowly and enjoy all the spices added to it by listening to His Voice. Relax and enjoy the sweet fellowship of the Chef, His Helper, and the Creator of the Seed
that was planted in you, allowing it to germinate and grow. By this you grow in the truth and knowledge of Jesus Christ and His Teachings. Don’t try to figure out what He is doing or what His purpose is for you, God is fulfilling His purposes in the Day as you keep your eyes on the Creator not what He has Created.
Proverbs 4:20 My son/daughter, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to My Words. 21Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; 22for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body. 23 Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. 24 Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. 25 Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. 27 Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. 27 Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.
1Peter 4 Living For God
Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin. 2 As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. 3For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do-living in debauchery, lust, drunkeness, orgies, carousing and destestable idolatry. 4 They think it is strange that you do not plunge with them into the same flood of dissipation, and they heap abuse on you. 5 But they will have to give account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. 6 For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to God in regard to the Spirit.
7The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. 8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 Each one should use whatever gift he has recieved to serve others faithfully administering God’s grace in it’s various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 If you suffer, it whould not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. 16 However, if you suffer as a Christiian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. 17For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the Gospel of God? And, "If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner? 19So then, those who suffer according o God’s will should commit themselve to thier faithful Creator and continue to do good.
We give thanks to you for our Daily Bread, Your Son Jesus Christ.
Thank you Lord for drawing us close to Him who gives us His Life giving word, and the Spirit of Truth.
Give us a teachable spirit as we walk together hand in hand with Your Son.
Unclog our ears so we may hear and lift the veal so we may see.
May we taste the goodness of Your meal; and reject the bitterness of a self pitiful attitude.
Take away the pride of the pharasee that has spead like yeast, and May your seed take root in the truth and knowledge of Jesus Christ and His teachings.
We come before your throne of grace as beggars and sinners saved only through the Atonement of Jesus’ Cross and His shed blood that has made us the righteousness of God; and now we are Yours through Him.
